Savoir-faire

Seven months from the first drawing to the last thread. This is where that time goes.

01Drawing
Each season starts as a single line on paper. Nothing is cut until that line explains every piece in the collection.
02Cloth
Wool is spun thin enough to fold into a pocket; silk is left undyed where hand-work will sit on top of it, so the thread carries the colour.
03Ornament
Medallions are beaded by hand over three to five weeks. In couture, the dress is cut to the medallion — not the other way round.
04Finishing
Hems, linings and closures are finished by hand. It is the slowest part of the process and the only one we will not shorten.
